Extra Information These cars were 29 feet long and 6 feet wide. They were fitted with Brill 21E trucks and the bodies rebuilt by Brighton Corporation Tramways 1908 1913; all had 'reversed stairs'.
Photo Caption A group of trams were decorated for the transportation of French visitors to the town from Brighton Station. 'Vive La France' was picked out in red, white and blue light bulbs on the upper deck decency panels. Class A car no.19 is seen proceeding along Queen's Road in this guise. The date is unknown but is pre-WW1 as it still has its original Peckham trucks.
