Extra Information Purchased from Brighton Hove & District Omnibus Co. (fleet number 6232) in January 1939 for driver training duties it was withdrawn in January 1940 and was reinstated in February 1942. It was then requisitioned by the Royal Navy until September 1946 when it recommenced driver training duties. Was sold to S Davies of Penycraig in May 1949. It was then re-bodied, possibly new, as a single deck coach registered JNY 221 in March 1949. Sold to G H Morgan, Newport, Monmouthshire in June 1952. Then to Central Garage, Congresbury, Somerset also in 1954. De-licensed by December 1954. But who rebuilt it as a coach and why was it not sold to Morgan for another three years?
Photo Caption This photo by D A Jones shows GP 6232 now re-bodied as a coach with S Davies sometime after 1954. What an exciting life this vehicle had.
