Extra Information This was the last A.E.C. to leave Lewes Road depot being towed away on 10th. May 1969. This bus received a replacement roof from a trolleybus having been involved in an argument with the bridge in Church Road, Portslade while running 'light' to Downsway. Being slightly lower than the other Regents this caused embarrassment to at least one of the inspectors, and tall passengers, who always banged his head on the roof.
Photo Caption An impossible sight today is of A.E.C. Regent III 91 being driven DOWN St. James's Street with an unidentified PD2/37 giving chase. This road became one-way on April 7th. 1968. The day racing driver Jim Clark died.
